My eyelash extensions and why I love and hate them.

A week ago, I had synthedic eyelashes put in, right between my real ones. I don't have long eyelashes due to a hair twirling disorder that I had while growing up. I'd pick at them and they fell all out. They took a really long time to grow back in and they haven't been the same since.

Pros

So, getting my eyelashes professionally done sounded really fun. And they looked great. I didn't even have to apply make up because my eyes popped and I absolutely loved that.

Cons

They stayed on for a good five days, then came the problems. The glue began hurting my eyes when I would shut my eyes, or laid a certain way on my pillow. So I tried getting those certain ones out (without pulling). But it didn't matter one bit... because once the lash came out, my REAL ones did right with it. It was awful and I lost a ton of my natural eyelashes... not to mention my eyes are severely irritated from it all.

So do yourself a favor if you happen to get these done... don't pick at them AT ALL like I did. If the glue bothers you at some point, call your beautician and have her deal with it. It's really not worth losing all of your eyelashes over like I did.

I feel like I need to get them again, even though I don't want to lose EVEN MORE eyelashes. But I barely have any there now. I'm kind of bumming over it and torn on what I should do. I was always a fan of pretty eye lashes.

Anyway, be careful my fellow beauty, style and make up bloggers. This happened to me and it happens to a lot of girls.

Definitely not worth losing your natural beauty over. That's for sure.

Home is where the heart is.

Went home this weekend and got to see my family. As some people know on my blog, I moved to Rochester New York, 4 fours away from my home and family in Albany New York. I went home for my oldest niece's holy communion. Yes, I am an agnostic and yes, I was in church. I was there for my niece because I know how important it was for her and I love her dearly. I had a blast seeing my family. Here are some photos of my time in Schenectady.

*CREDIT* Some of these were taken off of my brother's page and sister in law's cousin's page. The rest of the photos are mine.

My crazy, beautiful family.

My brother Bruce's beautiful family. One nephew and three nieces. I couldn't ask for a better clan. Love them to pieces!

My parents and very proud grandparents. I love them. <3

Beautiful girl on a beautiful day. <3

My girls. I love being with these two. I can't wait til they grow older and our relationship and friendships grow stronger. They will forever be my lovies!

New Pin-up Pictures.

Last weekend, I had some pictures taken of me pin up style. I wanted to share a few on my blog. Hope you enjoy. :-)

Tutorial: Jessica Rabbit make up in FIVE EASY STEPS.

It seems like everyone's doing the Jessica Rabbit thing lately, including a favorite of ours over here on Kristin's Blog of Shenanigans, one of my top girls crushes- Katy Perry!

The Jessica Rabbit look is a sultry, sexy look that you can sport at any event including dinner or just a get together if you want to "wow" your friends. This bold look can be done in FIVE EASY STEPS, aside from already applying your foundation.

Here is how I've mastered the Jessica Rabbit look!

STEP ONE: Pick a medium shade of purple (I used E.L.F.)
and apply across the lid, as well as the upper area.
Apply more on the lid and then lightly shade on top.

STEP TWO: Apply  Loreal black liquid eyeliner
(or any liquid eye liner of your choice) generously across your eye lids.
Don't wing your eyeliner this time.
Jessica Rabbit keeps it classic and de-winged!

STEP THREE: Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara is absolutely amazing.
For short lashes like mine, it really fills them in and does the job.
After you apply Mascara generously-
apply an eyelash curler for the eye-batting appearance.

STEP FOUR: You can use any red lip stick that you'd like.
 This is NYC's Retro Red.
Apply across your lips a few layers thick- but be careful!
Red is extremely messy.

STEP FIVE: Take a que tip and wipe swap where your lips
crown to give the pouty appearence.
Make sure to re-blot and smear your lips back together afterwards.

Last but not least, section your hair off to one side!
This is a Jessica Rabbit original and it will surely have all of the boys drooling over you.
& Certainly Dick Tracy!

BONUS STEP:
Add some false lashes for the full Jessica Rabbit effect!

Fashion Friday

Well, it's Friday again and you know what that means! It means another Fashion Friday has come around. I decided to focus on Spring/Summer footwear for this week's post. My poor boyfriend will know what this means to me since he knows how many pairs of shoes that I own (it's sickening, really). Here are some of the shoes that I cannot WAIT to wear this Spring/Summer. In fact, I've already started! :-)

I will also be adding a Fashion Friday link to the navigation bar above for anyone that wants to check out previous Fashion Fridays!

Keep in mind some of these shoes are from last season & may not be in stock this season.

I sing?! Well, Kinda.

This is a post about me and my boyfriend's acoustic little duo/band. Check out one of our videos! It's a Queen song called "I Want to Break Free", you may have heard it! :-)
